Thank goodness for sunny weather

It's almost spring and we are ready to serve you! Get your boat ready before Memorial Day and just shine, shine, shine. I think this economy gives all of us even more reason to be thankful for each other, our wonderful customers, our employees, our advisors, and all the people who work so hard to support us. Tim and I have been quite moved with the outpouring of love and kindness we've seen from many people who are just as love the lake at heart as we are. It's such a loving community. I look around at the water the other day that looks inviting (but I'm not as brave as our wakeboarding friends in wet suits) but is very chilly and I see such beauty and grace in all that surrounds us. I love it here. I want to sell boats and just be a part of the lake community. As mother nature breathes life back into the leafless trees and the Bradford pears bud white and the birds come back, I'm once again so thankful for the beginning of a new season.

I was looking the other day at the inventory, and we have some 2008 boats in stock. We need to move them, and that is going to benefit our customers. Plus, we really have a great inventory of pre-owned that can fit your needs. We've discounted them ALL for you. We have boats and want them to be where they should be....at your dock or in a slip from us. Call us for a test ride and ask for the great incentives we are offering!!! We want to serve you!

This weekend is going to be beautiful: you need a boat...so come by and see our selection and we can talk about your needs and what we can do to serve you.

Out of the Snow Drifts

WOWWWWWWWWWW...not 3 inches, not 5 inches, but a WHOPPING 8 inches of snow for Franklin County? We still have snow on the ground, but it is melting bigtime finally. The boats are slowly coming back to the lake as all of the dealers got caught by Winter's angry white blanket. It wasn't enough that the snow was drifting, but the wind and the BITTER cold bit me all the way through. Yep, I've got the sniffles and a scratchy throat. Much better now since we finally got some rest.

As the boats head back to Indian Pointe and Tim and I start talking about our busy summer schedule, we start to see some life of spring coming back to the lake. I can't tell you how much I love it on the lake. I just do. It's the way life comes at you so hard and then you look at the lake and peace fills you up. I mean look at that picture. Mid snow and the lake is STILL, ALWAYS, Beautiful. My husband loves it even more than I and I really have such great joy just being around the water.
The show was a success. Everyone is saying it was and we are so glad that we all had a good show. What a shot in the arm for the upcoming season. While we did close some deals, we would love to have more, but when you are in business for yourself, who wouldn't. :)) We met a fantastic couple on Sunday who loves the Chaparral 236 Crystal Series (one of my ALL TIME favorite boats...well, besides the Chaparral 284 and 244 Xtreme). They will be down to the marina soon.
BIG BREAKING NEWS: I forgot to introduce our new staff: Dave Kendrick and Walter (Junior) Gould. Terrific additions to our team. Dave has been in the marine industry for 15 years and Walter has been since he was a child. We are so proud to have them in team Magnum. What a joy!!!!!
Slip Updates as Promised: We have slips available. We have 10 wet slips and 5 covered slips available. Call as they are going fast. Start date 4/1/09-3/31/10. Call 540-537-5515 and reserve them before they are gone. Get your name on the waiting list!

Can't believe it's Snowing

OK...so I love a white Christmas and all the beauty of snow, but snow at the boat show? UNBELIEVABLE. All the school students are jumping wtih glee at the prospect of a closed school system, and to read that we might bet 3-5 inches????????????? Unbelievable. It was 60 on Wednesday, snowing on Sunday, and to read the forecast, it will be 50 on Thursday again. Woowwwwwweeeeee......

Remember, CJ, it's still FEBRUARY and the groundhog spotted his shadow for sure! Much to blog about from last night's show. Great deals and new customers and I can't tell you how great Rob was from Skier's Choice. His wisdom and way with children and customers was so easy going and comforting. I won't forget the directions he gave me. Thanks for all that you did Rob!!

All our reps were yesterday helping and our favorite boat show helper came with his dad to help. Before I knew it, time flew and I was starved for anything quick. Tim was not hungry, so I ran to McDonald's and grabbed some burgers (weightwatchers points were over the limit in a BIG way yesterday). WE had so much traffic that you really wouldn't believe it. I was even surprised but you could tell when it started snowing about 5:00 when people started talking about trekking to the g-store to get the bread and milk! I know my friends North used to laugh at how excited I got in college about the 2 inches...They thought I was so freaky about snow. They never reacted until there was atleast a foot!!!! It's beautiful and blanketing like a warm, wooly, comforting wrap until the sneaky ice is added. Fortunately, I don't see that in this midnight forecast. :)

I hope to see you all today, Sunday, the final day of the 2009 boat show!
